The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has approved three new projects totaling $15.1 million in capital.
This gives job seekers more hope that even if the pandemic forced many firms to reduce staff, investments in new industries are still coming into Cambodia, providing some employment respite for the unemployed.
According to the CDC’s news statement, the three projects belong to Mountain Forest Product Co., Ltd, Kingmall Industrial (Cambodia) Co., Ltd, and Cambodian Birchever Furniture Co., Ltd.
With a 14-million-dollar investment, Cambodian Birchever Furniture Co., Ltd. would build a plant for producing kitchen cabinets in Sihanoukville’s Cambodian Special Economic Zone, employing over 700 locals.
